Kamla Devi was born in the year 1993 in Adel, Rajasthan. She got married at the age of 17 and moved to her husband’s place in 2010. The financial condition of her family was not good and the earnings of her husband could not fulfil the needs of the family. Due to less income, the education of both, her daughter and her son was affected.
She is not educated but she wants her children to be educated. Keeping this in mind she decided to do something. She was skilled in traditional embroidery. She gathered all the support from the networks around her. Now, she successfully sells hand crafted products. She has also become an inspiration for her children and many women around her.
The smart phone given to Kamla Devi through Project Jagriti will help her expand her network and make use of the digital spaces and the internet to sell and promote her hand crafted products.
