Trying to get that perfect base for hours but still those stubborn dark circles, dark spots or acne scars won't hide. I have seen many people facing this same problem and the reason is not colour correcting properly. Colour correcting is a makeup technique used by makeup artists to cancel out all the imperfections or discolourations on the face by using certain coloured concealer. Colour correcting helps to lay down a proper blank canvas for foundation and concealer. Here is a list of colour correctors which will help you to understand better. Orange or red corrector- cancels blue hues such as dark circles. Green corrector- correct the redness caused sunburn or breakout. Purple or lavender corrector- brightens yellow or dull undertones. Yellow corrector- brightens purple or blue undertones like sunspots and age veins. Peach corrector- cancel outs hyperpigmentation. Once you know what corrector you have to use after that comes the application. Now while applying the corrector always remember a little goes a long way. Just take a very small amount and start slightly dabbing the product into the skin and blend.

Correctly color correcting makeup and skin involves understanding the principles of color theory and using the right products. Start by identifying the skin's undertone and any discolorations. Use complementary colors to neutralize issues: green correctors counteract redness, peach or orange correctors neutralize dark circles on light to medium skin tones, and deeper orange correctors work for darker skin tones. Apply the corrector sparingly to the targeted areas before foundation, blending well to avoid harsh lines. This technique ensures a natural, even complexion and enhances the effectiveness of your makeup.
